Didn’t listen but the officiating had been atrocious. I mean I guess it can be the easiest round to officiate if you plan on just swallowing the whistles completely

Just5 - I agree on all fronts. There's a thought process that's ubiquitous among referees across all sports, most notably hockey and football, whereby officials do not want to effect the outcome of a game and thusly pocket their whistles. The issues inherent here is that the game is that by not making calls, the game is directly effected, outcome not withstanding (just ask John Carlson). The bottom line is the officials cannot avoid having an effect on the game because it is a by-product of their jobs and that the best approach is to call the game as fairly as they would any other.
